This week I worked on drawing all of the solutions for our group. We ideated many of the solutions together and collaborated on ways that a foodbank volunteer could actually help and how foodbanks could help volunteers help.

We came up with 50 ideas and I drew 45 of them. I tried to capture these ideas each with a simple drawing. We then categorized them into main themes of the pain points: Safety, Information, Commitment, Transport, and Money.

I will briefly go over each of the solutions!

One of our first ideas was to have the university provide credits to volunteers.

Maybe the university/food bank could provide vaccines for volunteers.

If not vaccines then they could provide free testing there?

Food trucks could take groups of volunteers together.

Calendar to help volunteers know when they can help out.

Volunteer time trackers? maybe make it cute!

Mapping the nearest foodbanks

Blowing up social media for awareness.

Having experienced volunteers guide new ones
